The 6th edition of the Angola Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition opened yesterday in\r\nLuanda, under the theme \u201cANGOLA 50 YEARS: OIL & GAS AS A DRIVER OF\r\nDEVELOPMENT\u201d, with the objective of reinforcing Angola\u2019s position as one of Africa\u2019s\r\nleading oil producers.<\/p>\r\n
The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic, Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o,\r\nwho underscored the importance of Local Content. During his visit to the exhibition,\r\nthe Head of State was received by Jo\u00e3o Filipe, CEO of CABSHIP, who presented the\r\ncompany\u2019s services and social responsibility initiatives, such as youth employment\r\ncreation and the granting of scholarships.<\/p>\r\n
In his keynote address, President Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o stressed that Local Content \u201cassumes a strategic importance, as it ensures that the benefits of natural resource exploitation are shared fairly and sustainably with Angolan society.\u201d The President also highlighted the need for a solid commitment between the State, operators, investors, and the private sector to ensure the effective implementation of these policies.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
The event aims to consolidate Angola\u2019s ambition to attract over 60 billion U.S. dollars in investments over the next five years, reaffirming the country\u2019s commitment to developing the oil sector and strengthening its position on the international stage.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
The President\u2019s visit to CABSHIP\u2019s stand was considered \u201cgratifying\u201d by the company\u2019s CEO, Jo\u00e3o Filipe, who viewed the gesture as an encouragement to \u201ccontinue working with dedication and responsibility.\u201d He further emphasized that CABSHIP will continue to strengthen its contribution to Local Content, which he considers a fundamental pillar for Angola\u2019s economic diversification and industrialization.\r\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
